Ticket Buying Guide

Best Tool to Check When Tickets Go On Sale

The best sale-date tool helps you find presale windows, public on-sale timing, and the right purchase page before tickets move to resale.

If you only check ticket sites after the general on-sale starts, you may already be late. Presales, Verified Fan windows, venue offers, and credit card promotions can open days before the public sale.

TixHawk is a free event lookup tool for checking when tickets go on sale. It shows presale windows, public sale timing, current sale status, seatmap links for supported Ticketmaster events, and direct purchase links for supported Ticketmaster and SeatGeek events. Price tracking and alerts are coming soon, but they are not live yet.

What to Look for in a Ticket Sale-Date Tool

A useful sale-date tool should help you answer what matters before you buy: when the window opens, what type of sale it is, whether tickets are already on sale, and where to click when you are ready.

Presale windows and public on-sale timing

Look for exact start and end times when available, not just a vague event announcement.

Current sale status

The tool should tell you whether the event is in presale, on public sale, scheduled for later, or missing current sale data.

Direct paths to the ticket platform

Once you know the timing, you should be able to open the supported Ticketmaster or SeatGeek purchase page without another search.

How TixHawk Differs from Ticketmaster and SeatGeek

Ticketmaster and SeatGeek are ticket platforms. TixHawk is a research layer that helps you check timing and purchase paths before you decide where to buy.

Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster sells primary tickets and shows official event pages. TixHawk helps you look up supported Ticketmaster events faster, including presale windows, sale status, seatmap links, and direct Ticketmaster links.

SeatGeek

SeatGeek is a ticket marketplace. TixHawk supports SeatGeek event URL lookup and direct SeatGeek ticket links, but it does not yet show live SeatGeek prices or compare SeatGeek listings inside TixHawk.

What Price-Alert Features Are Coming Soon

  • Price tracking for individual events
  • Price drop alerts by SMS and email
  • Budget thresholds for events you care about
  • Multi-platform price monitoring after the tracker product ships

These features are in development and not available yet.
